About This Opportunity

A fun experience for those interested in the arts and a great opportunity to work with children of all abilities and ages. 

July 8th-26th. Volunteers can work an entire week(s) of camp, or selected days.

Perfect experience for future camp counsellors, teachers, teaching artists, and youth workers. Volunteers should have an interest in working with children and willing and able to be physically active and give and follow directions. Volunteers must be minimum 14 years of age or starting grade 9 in September 2024. This is a high energy group, volunteers will have the opportunity to to engage with campers, exercise leadership skills, be creative and encourage creativity, lead games and activities, support teaching artists and build relationship with campers, peers and instructors. Creativity, good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills are considered an asset. Preference given to individuals with experience working with children, working in a team environment and basic First Aid.

This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours while working with kids, developing leadership skills and being involved with the arts. Camps take place from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, at the River Run Centre, 35 Woolwich Street, Guelph. A training session will be offered on Saturday  July 6th time 11-1 at Guelph Youth Dance Studios - 42 Quebec St, Guelph ON.
