Backpack Program Volunteer  

Position Overview  We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to assist with pre-packing roughly 40-50 backpacks for our Childhood Arthritis Backpack Program. This role involves assembling backpacks with supplies, sealing them in boxes, and organizing them on shelves. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on tasks and want to support Arthritis Society Canada's initiatives. While some light lifting is required (10-15 lbs), staff support is available for heavier tasks if needed. 

 Time Commitment 

This is a short-term volunteer opportunity, requiring a few hours over the course of a few weeks. Ideally the week of February 24th or March 3rd but there is some flexibility. 

Date & Time: Flexible, to be scheduled in coordination with volunteers.  

Location: 220 Bay St. #300, Toronto, ON M5J 2W4 

Key Areas of Responsibility 

Organize and pack supplies into backpacks (roughly 40-50 backpacks).  

Seal packed backpacks in boxes and place them on shelves.  

Work collaboratively to ensure efficiency and accuracy. 

Desired Skills, Attributes & Qualifications 

Comfortable with light physical tasks such as packing and lifting up to 10-15 lbs (staff support available for heavier lifting).  

Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a small team.  

Reliability and attention to detail to ensure all backpacks are packed correctly.  

A positive attitude and enthusiasm for supporting a great cause.
