About This Opportunity

Who We Are:  The Grand River Community Health Centre (GRCHC) has been engaging in and responding to the needs of the Brantford and Brant County community since 2009.

Who You Are: You're a community member in Brantford/Brant who is passionate about our vision of a community without barriers to health and well being and bring your own perspective to all dialogue, discussion and decisions. You don't need previous experience on a Board to serve as we will provide orientation and training to help you learn and grow. Prior experience is helpful but in no way necessary.

Time Commitment:  Prepare for and attend monthly board meetings (approximately 3-5 hours per month) Prepare for and attend committee meetings (1-3 hours per month) Attend the Annual General Meeting Support Grand River CHC community events Term ranges of 1 to 3 years with opportunity for renewal.

How can you contribute as a Director: Establish and review Grand River CHC’s vision, strategic goals, mission and values Identify, name, and confront inequity/discrimination Provide strategic leadership and foster collective care/wellness Develop and approve policies and procedures Ensure mutual accountability and shared decision making Assess impact of outcomes (strategic goals) arising from the delivery of programs and services Recruit, hire and set performance expectations for the Executive Director.
