About This Opportunity
Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre (PQWCHC) is recruiting 2 Board Members.
The Board of Directors is a volunteer community board. Are interested in contributing to PQWCHC? This could be an opportunity for you!
Responsibilities of Board Members
• Attend monthly Board meetings on the last Tuesday of the month (10 meetings per year) • Attend the Annual General Meeting (late September) • Prepare for Board meetings by reviewing materials in advance • Ensure that the organization adheres to its vision, mission and values • Work collaboratively with the Executive Director • Participate in committee work

To be eligible to serve as Board Member, you must
• Be 18 years old or older • Be a member of the PQWCHC (membership is free and may become one during recruitment) • Have a commitment to the PQWCHC’s vision, mission and values • Not working at PQWCHC or be an immediate family of someone who works at PQWCHC
The Board welcomes applications from people with a diverse set of skills and experiences. Knowledge of the Parkdale Queen West community is required. Currently, we are particularly interested in applicants who identify as or have skillsets in any of the following:
Priority Demographics
• Black/African ancestry • First Nations/Indigenous/Métis/Inuit • 2SLGBTQIA+ • Youth (ages 18 – 29) • Living or lived experience with substance use • Living or lived experience with homelessness or poverty
Skillsets
• Legal or law • Frontline health or social service • Labour Relations • Fundraising and stewardship • Supportive housing and housing development
