About This Opportunity
Board Meetings are generally conducted virtually, with every quarter in-person meetings held in Guelph. Up and Running Guelph was founded in 2016 as a grassroots, volunteer-based organization committed to sharing the mental health benefits of exercise, nature, and social connections with community members. As a Board of a small, not-for-profit organization, we have primarily acted as an operational or working board, with the focus of discussion and decisions being operational.
Work of the Board includes: strategic planning and evaluation, financial stewardship and accountability, human resources stewardship, risk management, community relations/engagement. We are specifically in need of board members with experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations.
Our Board generally meets on the 3rd Monday of each month from 7:15 pm - 9 pm. We take December and one month off in the summer (usually July), unless a meeting is deemed necessary.
