About This Opportunity
We are keen to have people become committee and/or board members. This involves monthly virtual meetings with a team of passionate, knowledgeable people who collaborate toward the common goal of providing meaningful employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Main focal topics include maintaining finances, including fundraising and donations, making connections with like-minded community partners, broadening the public presene of J.O.E. (building awareness of J.O.E.) and collaborating with the Program Manager. Being a board member would also involve assisting at social and fundraising events. This could include guiding an adult with a developmental disability through a certain task at the event. A prime candidate for this role would share the passion of empowering through employment, as well as any or all of these qualities, such as connecting with Guelph organizations and businesses, fundraising, marketing and technology. Experience with human resources and/or grant writing would be a valuable asset. Being a part of J.O.E. is a mutually enriching journey for all as we share the joy of the participants strengthening their skills and abilities as fully engaged citizens in our community!
