What is Boccia? Boccia is a Paralympic sport that requires accuracy, precision, and focus. Originally designed for people with severe cerebral palsy, Boccia is now enjoyed by people with a wide variety of physical disabilities. Similar to the sports of lawn bowling and curling, players score points by rolling or throwing their coloured Boccia balls closest to the white target ball called the jack. Competition can be between individuals (1vs 1), pairs (2 vs 2), or teams (3 vs 3). Each player, pairs, or teams have either 6 blue or 6 red Boccia balls to throw in each end. There are 4 ends to a Boccia match. For more information about Boccia, visit the Boccia Canada Website here: http://bocciacanada.ca/en/
