 Key Responsibilities

1. Assist the camp coordinator in organizing and implementing the daily camp activities indoors and outdoors 
2. Leading campers on nature photography walks 
3. Assisting campers in editing their photos and preparing final slideshows. 
4. Lead nature and photography-themed games, activities, and crafts 
5. Maintain safety and supervision of all campers including upholding ratio expectations 
6. Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports and behaviour tracking forms where required 
7. Assist with any behaviour challenges and use appropriate behaviour modification techniques 
8. Perform additional duties and undertake special projects as assigned 

Qualifications and Experience Required: 

• be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
•  Positive attitude and a love for working with children 
• Prior experience working with children 
• Prior camp counseling experience is preferred Interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment 
• Interest and knowledge of nature and photography is an asset 
• Standard First Aid/CPR-C required 

Conditions of Volunteering: 

• Must be willing to submit a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check upon hire. 
• Must be able to work between July 2 - August 16
• Training will be provided Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (Shifts from 8am-4pm and 9am-5pm)
