Horse leaders and side walkers needed for therapeutic horseback riding during Camp Pride at Pride Stables. Must be at least 15 years old and no horse experience is necessary.
Pride Stables provides therapeutic horseback riding for individuals with disabilities and we are looking for volunteers to help with our summer camp, Camp Pride.
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old and no horse experience is necessary. You need to be able think critically, problem solve, have the ability to work independently, and maintain an awareness of their surroundings at all times. Unexpected situations can arise at anytime involving horse and/or rider. Volunteers must possess good listening and verbal communication skills, and be able to follow directions. We ask our volunteers to commit to at least one full week, Monday-Friday 8:30am-12pm daily. There are 8 weeks to choose from.
All new volunteers must attend one 2-hour orientation session. Orientations are happening in June. Email Amanda at volunteering@pridestables.com for more information.
