York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a Canva Design Volunteer—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves marketing and content creation. 

The Canva Design Volunteer is responsible for: 

► Contributing in team projects when assigned 

► Designing content for various social media platforms 

► Representing YRES online 

► Promoting a welcoming and inclusive work environment for everyone 

► Arriving to work on time/signing into shift on time 

Location: 

📍 Remote 

Date & Time: 

🗓️ Weekends

Shift 1: 9 am - 1 pm

Shift 2: 1 pm - 4pm

Shift 3: 9 am - 5 pm (full day shift)

Who We're Looking For: 

✔ Minimum age: 12 

✔ Able to independently arrive to work (if in-person)  

✔ Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new things

✔ Complete training 

✔ Can commit to [amount of time] 

✔ Successful Vulnerable Sector check if over 18 

✔ Fluency in English 

Bonus Skills: 

✔ Previous experience in social media management/marketing

✔ Familiarity with software applications such as Canva, [other applications] 

✔ Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English
