About This Opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products, promotions, and organization initiatives.
- Help with receiving and processing donations, including sorting and pricing items.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
- Represent the organization in a positive manner and uphold its values and mission.
Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Friendly and approachable demeanour with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in operating a cash register (training will be provided).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Interest in retail, community service, or supporting a specific cause (if applicable).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry items as needed (within reasonable limits).
- Willingness to commit to a regular volunteer schedule, with flexibility to accommodate changes when necessary.
