Speaker needed regarding Community Engagement in Conservation --> Highlighting the importance of local community involvement in protecting and restoring environments, fostering stewardship, and creating inclusive strategies for long-term conservation. This would allow three presenters to present from various points of view. This is part of a dynamic webinar series leading up to the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) under the theme “Advancing sustainable solutions for a resilient planet.”

As part of this series, the Community Engagement in Conservation session will showcase innovative, community-driven approaches to conservation that strengthen ecosystem resilience and foster sustainable human-nature relationships.

We are seeking a volunteer speaker with expertise and lived experience in grassroots conservation, community mobilization, Indigenous knowledge, or environmental stewardship.  Perhaps you have knowledge or skill set in promoting networking between environmental green groups or you have been a leader in brainstorming Community Engagement in Conservation which takes action in real life applications

Objectives of the Session:

• To raise awareness of the importance of afforestation, biodiversity, and ethical human-animal relationships in strengthening ecosystem resilience.

• To highlight successful grassroots initiatives and community stewardship models.

• To foster collaboration among environmental advocates, NGOs, policymakers, and animal welfare experts.

• To contribute insights and community recommendations that align with UNEA-7’s global environmental agenda.
