About This Opportunity
Volunteering with the Kiwanis Club of Forest City-London offers the chance to get involved in a variety of community events and projects. Volunteers assist in organizing and supporting local festivals, sporting events, family activities, and presentations. Here's what volunteering might look like:
- Event Setup and Coordination: Volunteers play a crucial role in helping set up for events, including preparing venues, arranging equipment, and ensuring everything is in place for a smooth experience.
- Assisting at Festivals and Sporting Events: During festivals and sporting events, volunteers help with registration, guiding participants, distributing materials, and managing crowds. You may also assist in running games or activities for families.
- Supporting Presentations and Family Events: Volunteers help with the organization of presentations and family-oriented activities. This could involve assisting speakers, helping with logistics, or engaging with attendees to ensure everyone has a great experience.
- Community Outreach and Engagement: Volunteers help spread the word about Kiwanis events, recruit participants, and encourage community involvement. Your role may include interacting with local residents and promoting Kiwanis Club projects that benefit the community.
- Fundraising Assistance: Many of the events organized by the Kiwanis Club are also fundraisers. Volunteers may help with ticket sales, auctions, or donation drives to support the club’s charitable initiatives, which directly benefit local programs and projects.
- Parking Assistance: Volunteers also help manage parking at our two locations during events. This includes directing traffic, ensuring cars are parked efficiently, and collecting parking fees. This essential role supports the smooth flow of attendees and contributes to fundraising efforts, helping the club continue its community-focused work.
By volunteering with Kiwanis, you’ll be making a direct impact on your community, helping create meaningful experiences for attendees, and supporting initiatives that improve the lives of local families. It’s a great way to give back and connect with others in your community.
