As a Community Fridge Helper at Vita Centre, you play a vital role in promoting food security and dignity for the families we serve. Your responsibilities include:

  • πŸ›οΈ Support Clients with Grocery Selection
    Assist individuals as they shop our pantry, offering guidance, answering questions, and ensuring every interaction is respectful and welcoming.

  • πŸ›’ Restock and Organize Pantry Items
    Help keep the fridge and shelves well-stocked, clean, and organized so the space remains accessible and inviting for all clients.

  • βš–οΈ Ensure Equitable Distribution
    Follow rationing guidelines and use your judgment to distribute groceries fairly based on stock availability, helping ensure every family gets what they need.

  • πŸ“‹ Track and Communicate Inventory Needs
    Monitor inventory levels and alert staff when items are running low or need replenishing.

  • 🧹 Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment
    Uphold hygiene and food safety standards by cleaning surfaces and rotating items as needed.

  • 🀝 Foster a Welcoming Atmosphere
    Bring warmth, kindness, and empathy to every shift, contributing to a positive experience for all who access the Community Fridge.
