About This Opportunity

As a Creative Content & Media Support Assistant, you will assist with social media, digital content, media production, marketing copy, and exhibit design projects. Working under staff direction, you will contribute to real projects while learning through hands-on experience in a professional, supportive environment. This role is ideal for those seeking to develop practical skills in creative industries, media, or museum work while collaborating as part of a dynamic team.

Beyond your primary role, you will gain exposure to many aspects of museum operations, including assisting with exhibit setup, cataloguing collections, creating social media content, supporting visitor services, and contributing to digital and media projects.

The MZTV Museum of Television preserves and celebrates the history and evolution of television technology, featuring a vast collection of TV sets from the 1920s to the 1980s. Unique among North American museums, it emphasizes the impact of iconic sets, such as those from Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, and the RCA Phantom Teleceiver, the rarest set in the world. With over 10,000 artifacts, it honours the pioneers of the medium and explores television's influence on viewers and culture worldwide.

This is an unpaid volunteer role—not a paid position—but you will get real TV museum experience that’s worth its weight in reruns. 🎬
