About This Opportunity
Volunteer Opportunity with PROSDOMA. We is looking for dedicated volunteers to support immigrants and refugees in their settlement journey in Canada. As a volunteer, you will play a key role in helping newcomers integrate into their new community by offering practical assistance and guidance in the following areas:
-Key Responsibilities:
-Program Design: Develop and implement programs that meet the specific needs of our clients, focusing on areas such as job search assistance, mental health support, and legal aid.
-Fundraising Campaigns: Help create and execute fundraising campaigns to generate financial support for PROSDOMA’s services and programs.
- Proposal Writing: Draft project proposals and grant applications to secure funding from donors, government agencies, and organizations.
- Educational Materials: Design and produce educational materials to empower clients with information on their rights, settlement resources, and Canadian culture.
- Assistance with Immigration: Support clients through the permanent resident application process, refugee filing, and other legal immigration processes, ensuring they understand the necessary steps and required documentation.
Ideal Volunteer Profile:
- Passionate about social justice and supporting immigrants and refugees.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience or interest in program development, fundraising, writing, or education.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
