About This Opportunity
We are looking for a volunteer to develop, update and manage the rollout of ALDO communications and marketing. The Website and Social Media Manager regularly updates the ALDO webpage and social media accounts with news and additions to each platform.
The volunteer will possess experience in website building on platforms such as WordPress, as well as be familiar with Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Carry out complete website redesigns, updates, and changes as needed. Strong writing and website building skills necessary.
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Create and implement an overall ALDO communications strategy to ensure ALDO has consistent and up-to-date messaging in all of its communications.
- Create and maintain an ALDO marketing strategy, including ALDO branding, marketing, and advertising.
- Design and develop a communication plan.
- Develop content for promotional materials including direct mail pieces, print and electronic newsletters, website and social media stories, media releases, and other materials as needed.
- Write and edit communication materials including newsletters, press releases, and donor/volunteer letters.
- Develop new communication strategies, including more web-based, interactive strategies and social media public relations plan.
- Assist with development of creative concepts and marketing strategies for promoting the work of ALDO and securing donations from past and first-time donors.
