About This Opportunity
Emergency Disaster Services team members are called upon to support people affected by emergencies and disasters in their local communities as well as throughout Canada.
The team provides food, clothing and emotional support to anyone affected by an emergency. It could be a local fire or a community-wide flood or evacuation that activates the teams.
You will be part of a national team of responders who all act locally and may, if you wish, be deployed across the country.
While there is one Introduction to Emergency Disaster Services course that all team members must complete, there is a myriad of other training opportunities, if you wish to participate.
Being a team member is a great way to give back in times of emergency and a great way to gain valuable skills and experience for those looking at a career in emergency response or management.
