YOUNG LEADERS DINNER: TBA, Toronto, ON

Time:  7 – 10 PM

Fighting Blindness Canada’s YOUNG LEADERS Program is a career-oriented initiative aimed at creating a brighter, more inclusive future for youth living with vision loss. The program provides support to young people in Canada, aged 15-35 who are blind or partially sighted.

In addition to the Young Leaders programming held during the View Point conference, we will be hosting a dinner for youth based in Ontario immediately following the conclusion of the conference.

We are seeking a few volunteers to help as sighted guides for the following:

  •  Assisting Young Leaders in getting to the dinner venue
  • Providing support while at dinner
  • Helping Young Leaders safely locate transportation or guiding them back to their accommodation following the dinner.

Volunteers are provided with training over Zoom approximately one week in advance of the event, and receive on-site sighted guide training upon arrival at View Point. All meals, snacks and drinks will be covered by FBC.
