About This Opportunity
To share regularly scheduled visits with a client either over the phone and/or in person. These visits generally take place once per week or every other week and last for an average of one to two hours.
• To be a reliable volunteer friend who enhances the quality of life of clients by providing them with social interaction through phone and/or in-person visits that take place on a regular pre-determined basis.
• To let your client, know in advance if you are unable to make a scheduled visit.
• To inform your Program Coordinator of any safety concerns or changes in client’s condition.
• To keep your Program Coordinator advised of your volunteer service hours, visits, and phone calls.
• To inform the Program Coordinator if you are unable to continue volunteering or will be away for a period of time.
• To comply with all CSSN policies and procedures related to scope of the program.
• Always maintain client confidentiality and greet clients in a friendly manner.
• To be a good listener and respect the needs, decisions, and rights of the client.
Min commitment - 1 hour a week
