Friendly Visitors
Summary
The Friendly Visitor provides social support to frail elderly clients or adults with disabilities.
Must enjoy working with seniors and people in general and assist clients within the boundaries of the position as defined in the Service Plan between volunteer and client;
Have a clear vulnerable police record Check
Have two satisfactory references;
Good listening skills, accepting of other’s opinions, dependable, respectful, ability to remain calm in an emergency

About This Opportunity
To alleviate isolation and loneliness of assigned client by visiting in person, phone or social media, e.g. skype, Facebook, email.
To encourage the client to maintain independence to the level of his/her ability.
