This is one of Carefor's most sought out volunteer position.  As a volunteer you will be matched with a senior living in the community that has been identified as feeling alone, lonely and socially isolated. Matches are made based on interest, hobbies, language, time availability and location of where the volunteer/senior lives.  Must have a vulnerable police record check done, volunteer application and  2 reference

Visits can include friendly chats over tea, assisting with re-writing recipes or address books in large print, looking at old photos together, playing cards etc

Volunteers usually spend anywhere from 1 to 4 hours a week with their client.
