About This Opportunity
Responsibilities
- Creating annual fund development plans that supports and encourage community and corporate engagement with Ups and Downs in both the short and long-term.
- Establish and monitor yearly fund development budgets and to allocate appropriate monetary and human resources to carry out activities/initiatives.
- Support the identification, research, solicitation, fostering, and stewardship of current/prospective and donors.
- Monitor and evaluate progress in meeting fundraising targets.
- Participate in fund development activities (ex: funding proposals and reports, fundraising campaigns, etc.).
- Stay current with fund development trends and maximize professional development opportunities with the goal of strengthening the organization’s fundraising capacity.
Preferred Skills and qualifications
- Knowledge of regulations regarding charitable fund raising is an asset
- Experience with fund development (ex: events, funding applications, etc.)
- Experience with stewardship and establishing/maintaining partnerships
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- A caring and giving attitude
