About This Opportunity
General:
The Fundraising Coordinator, in accordance with the Chapter’s mission, values, vision, operating principles, and all policies, especially its Code conduct, acts to coordinate all aspects of the Chapter’s fundraising initiatives and strategies.
Duties:
Responsible for coordinating the raising of funds to support the ongoing work of the Chapter in accordance with budgeted revenue targets
Responsible for cultivating excellent, on-going donor relationships
Works with the Executive Committee to secure funding from existing sources: National Office, corporate sponsors, food suppliers, etc.
Organizes, manages, promotes, and encourages participation in our ‘Annual Walk-a-thon & Beach BBQ’
Promotes and implements the annual ‘Making Change Campaign’ fundraising initiative
Manages a small subcommittee of volunteers to identify and research new grant opportunities, writing and submitting proposals/applications, incoordination with Executive Committee objectives
Identifies, researches, proposes and implements new fund raising strategies, where applicable
Coordinates the gathering of donations/award of door prizes at major events including the WCW Community Social, the Holiday Dinner Dance, etc.
Attends and actively participates in regular meetings of the Executive Committee
Skills:
Strong communication skills
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, professional and friendly manner
Strong organizational skills; Ability to prioritize, detail oriented
Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PDF and Email applications
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be a member in good standing of the Chapter (preferably for a minimum of 1 year)
Must undergo a Police Background check (Clearance Letter level 1).
