Key Responsibilities
· Greet/acknowledge incoming patrons to the Gaming House
· Be aware of any minors (under 18 years of age) or persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs entering the Gaming House and advise staff
· Advise patrons that no outside food or beverages are allowed in the Gaming House.
· Explain or hand out information on progressive jackpots that are available for patrons to win that day.
· Clean machines on the gaming floor on an ongoing basis throughout shift or at the specific request of Gaming House staff
· Communicate customer issues promptly to staff
· Assist with food delivery when busy
· Assist with the sign-up of customers for a player card.
· Acknowledge patrons when leaving
Note: These duties can change at any time. Staff may ask from time to time for assistance with something; volunteers can assist if it does not involve touching or handling money.
Requirements
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Successful application and completion of one-on-one interview
· Must be dependable, punctual, friendly, and comfortable in a busy and loud (slot machine sounds, music) environment
· Must complete a short, mandatory online training session from the Charitable Gaming Association of Ontario (CGAO)
· Must be able to stand/move around during a two-hour shift
