One of the ways we are able to keep our costs down and deliver aid more efficiently is by using volunteers to assemble aid here in Canada. 

One of GlobalMedic's aid packing locations is located in Oakville Ontario.  Here we pack aid for our McAntony's Menu Program. Volunteers package dried pantry staples such as lentils, green peas, kidney beans, rice and chickpeas into 500 gram bags which are then boxed and distributed to food banks across Ontario. 

We offer 2 volunteer shifts per day from Tuesday - Saturday. One in the morning which runs from 9:30 AM - 12:15 PM and one in the afternoon from 1:15 PM - 4:00 PM. Each shift typically can accommodate 15 people but we are able to book groups of 20 in advance. If you are interested in a group booking please send us an email at volunteer@globalmedic.ca.  

Please note that our facilities are warehouses, so they may bit a bit cold in the winter and a bit warm in the summer. Please dress appropriately and wear comfortable closed toe shoes. We can accommodate volunteers with mobility restrictions, including wheelchairs. Our events are not recommended for children under 10, and children under 14 need adult supervision. All volunteers need to abide by our Volunteer Code of Conduct in order to participate.
