About This Opportunity
Research and disseminate information about federal, provincial, local and private grant-funding opportunities for our local and international programs
Research, write, edit and obtain approvals for all proposals and applications submitted to current and potential funders
Monitor and track grant applications and award in database system
Edit proposals and applications for accuracy, completeness, clarity and compliance with funding requirements
Respond to inquiries as needed to manage grant application / proposal processes
Actively and constantly seek to improve and evolve the proposal process by engaging with appropriate parties, as required.
Develop technical documents such as generic forms and basic grant proposal
Skills:
Possess good organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work and coordinate multiple projects and deadlines
Skilled technical writing, proof-reading, editing, copy writing, grant writing or equivalent written communication format
Familiarity with government and academic funding opportunities
Excellent English oral and written communication skills
Understanding of Canadian funding mechanisms with likely expansion to international opportunities
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills
General knowledge of accounting principles and contractual agreement / administration language
