About This Opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
Research: Identify grant opportunities that align with the mission and programs of the J Healthcare Initiative.
Proposal Development: Craft compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documents, following the requirements of each grantmaker.
Editing: Review and edit proposals for clarity, grammar, and compliance with grantmakers’ guidelines.
Submission: Ensure timely submission of all grant applications.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of submitted proposals, responses, and follow-up activities.
Collaboration: Work closely with the program managers to gather information necessary to make each proposal stand out.
Reporting: Assist with the creation of reports to grantmakers to comply with grant reporting requirements.
Communication: Keep the J Healthcare Initiative team informed of progress and potential challenges.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and concise copy.
-Experience in grant writing or a strong willingness to learn and apply grant writing best practices.
Ability to understand and execute complex instructions from grantmakers.
- Proficiency in research and the use of online databases and resources.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with healthcare terminology and nonprofit operations is a plus.
