About Us
Zero Hunger Project works to bridge the gap in food security by empowering grassroots organizations, providing resources for sustainable agriculture, and advocating for policy changes to eliminate hunger. We are launching a new, specific programme aimed at accelerating United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and need a creative, passionate designer to help build its visual identity from the ground up.
Position Summary
We are looking for a creative and proactive Volunteer Graphic Designer to join our team to lead the visual branding for a key new programme. You will play a crucial role in creating the program’s logo, designing brand assets, and planning visual content for its website. This is a high-impact, visible role designed for someone looking to build their portfolio while making a real-world difference in the fight against hunger.
Key Responsibilities
  • Logo & Brand Identity: Develop a compelling logo, color palette, and typography for the new programme that aligns with Zero Hunger Project's mission.
  • Website Content Planning: Collaborate with the project team to map out and design website assets (banners, icons, layout illustrations) for the new initiative's web pages.
  • Digital Assets: Create engaging visual content for social media, fundraising campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual materials are consistent with the overall Zero Hunger Project brand identity.
  • Collaboration: Participate in virtual brainstorming sessions and work closely with the Communications and Program teams to translate ideas into impactful visuals.
Requirements & Skills
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma.
  • Strong understanding of branding principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Experience in, or understanding of, logo design and web design visual elements.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
  • A passion for sustainable development, food security, or social justice.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your design skills (required).
