About This Opportunity

Growing Gardeners is an impactful program that empowers elementary school children in the Windsor area to connect with nature and develop vital life skills. Over six weeks, our dedicated Growing Gardener Facilitators will lead participants through an immersive experience, guiding them in hands-on activities where they plant a variety of seeds and witness the fascinating process of growth. Each session will be structured around four dynamic stations: planting, science exploration, engaging activities, and a books and snack corner, all designed to inspire curiosity and foster teamwork. Our facilitators will ensure that every child not only learns but also thrives in a nurturing environment, making this program both educational and memorable.

Throughout this journey, children learn not only about gardening but also the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits. They gain a sense of independence as they take ownership of their plants, nurturing them from seeds to flourishing greens. This program not only fosters a love for gardening but also promotes teamwork and collaboration among peers, as they work together and experience the joy of watching their efforts come to life.

The Growing Gardeners program is a delightful experience for everyone involved—including the children, teachers, and facilitators. It combines fun and education, creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of community in the classroom. Join us in cultivating curiosity and a passion for the environment!
