About This Opportunity
Ask An Undergrad High School Ambassadors are responsible for providing their opinions and insights during monthly meetings to guide AAU initiatives. They also will represent the organization and share AAU's resources, event details and initiatives with peers. Time commitment 2 hours/month.
Some specific examples of ambassador responsibilities include the following (ambassadors can choose which they wish to do):
- Attending monthly meetings to provide your opinion and feedback on AAU initiatives
- Sharing AAU resources online on social media platforms or within schools through class announcements, presentations, posters
- Connecting AAU with school guidance counselors
Organizing a school-specific event in partnership with AAU
Ambassadors receive community service hours and hours directly depending on the level of engagement of the ambassador. Ambassadors have direct access to a network of university students across Canada as a part of the team. They also develop leadership, communication and other soft skills that will support their professional growth as they transition from high school to university. Many students also demonstrate initiative by facilitating partnerships between school clubs and AAU.
