Summary
Horse Experienced Volunteers are required to support our instructors, coaches and therapists to help fulfill the physical and cognitive needs of each individual participant. They allow our programs to run at much higher capacities as there are many times that require more hands on than our overall staff would allow for. Having volunteers as part of the Hope Haven Team creates a community of genuine positivity, support and caring.

About This Opportunity
Your horse experience will be a huge asset in the proper leading, side walking and overall safe handling of horses during each of our participant lessons.
We have a wide variety of horse breeds and personalities at Hope Haven who all have a very unique job. We require our horses to be handled in specific, purposeful ways in order for them to do their jobs well. Expect to be on your feet for a minimum of three hours - concrete, sand and muddy paddocks are your footings so proper footwear is key.

- Vulnerable Sector Check required
- Attendance and successful completion of volunteer training sessions
- Commitment to a minimum of 3-hours per week for the duration of any of our 8-12 week sessions
- Minimum 16 years old
