Are you a young person, 14-24 years of age, with a passion for giving back and a desire to learn more about the non-profit sector? The Children’s Health Foundation has an exciting initiative that would be perfect for you! 

 The Youth Philanthropy Group will have 15-20 members, whose objectives will be to learn the skills necessary to plan and execute a year-end fundraising event in support of the Children’s Health Foundation. Group members will also plan and execute their own personal fundraising initiatives and/or advocacy campaigns. Members must commit to a one-year term (September 2023-May 2024), with the opportunity to extend their term if desired. 

Hand-in-hand with our donors, Children’s Health Foundation is strengthening and transforming pediatric health care for London and our region. We are proud to support the purchase of cutting-edge equipment, care-enhancing programs, and ground-breaking research at Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre, Thames Valley Children’s Centre, and Children’s Health Research Institute. You should apply for this exciting opportunity if: 

• You are committed to attending bi-weekly meetings over a 9-month period and completing mandatory training. Meetings and training sessions will be in person. 
• Willing to attend additional sub-committee meetings. Meeting dates and times will be selected based on what works for the majority. 
• You are willing to commit 5-10 hours per month to support the Youth Philanthropy Group initiatives 
• You have demonstrated leadership experience 
• You are a team player 
• You are interested in the non-profit sector 
• You can manage your time effectively
