Jr. DEEP Summer Camp 2025 Volunteer

The Engineering Student Outreach Office (ESOO) manages and administers the core outreach programs offered by the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto. We act as the central unit for outreach activities promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education to a wide audience.
The Junior Da Vinci Engineering Enrichment Program (Jr. DEEP) is currently seeking high school volunteers who will be integrated into various programs between July and August 2025 for Grade 3 - 8 youth. Volunteers will be involved in the day-to-day activities to provide students with a unique experience to engage and participate in innovative and cutting-edge STEM education beyond the scope of a traditional classroom environment.
Volunteers will gain exposure:
- Participating in innovative curriculum, workshops, and activities related to STEM education for the Engineering Student Outreach Office
- Supporting students in individual and/or group work
- Participating in and supporting camp and program logistics

Dates:
Volunteers commit to week-long camp sessions. They can volunteer for more than one week if desired. Volunteer shifts would be 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Monday to Friday each week.
Weeks available:
- Week 1: June 30-July 4, 2025 *no camp on July 1, 2025
- Week 2: July 7 – July 11, 2025
- Week 3: July 14 – July 18, 2025
- Week 4: July 21 – July 25, 2025
- Week 5: July 28 – August 1, 2025
- Week 6: no camp this week
- Week 7: August 11 – 15, 2025
- Week 8: August 18 – 22, 202
Eligibility:
This volunteer opportunity is open to high school students in grade 10, 11, or 12 in the 2024-2025 school year. Individuals interested in volunteering should enjoy helping young students and have an interest in science, technology, engineering, math, and coding.
Training:
Volunteers will be provided with relevant training prior to their start date.
