About This Opportunity
What to Expect:
This will involve physical work. Volunteers will help with:
- Lifting and moving desks, chairs, and shelves (10 to 50 lbs)
- Repetitive lifting and moving
- Taking down bulletin boards
- Loading and unloading items into a U-Haul and storage unit
- Cleaning
- Unpacking
- Building shelving units
- Using basic power tools (optional)
Feel free to bring work gloves or basic tools if you have them. Not required.

Schedule:
We’ll be working from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (unless noted otherwise).
Monday, July 28 (Priority - 10 volunteers needed)
Time: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Tasks:
- Move items from KARA Too into a U-Haul
- Transport and unload at Sentinel Storage
Wednesday, August 6 (10 volunteers needed)
Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Tasks:
- Clean KARA Too after renovations
- Unload U-Haul of desks and shelves
- Unload storage pod into KARA Too
- Lunch provided
Thursday, August 7 (10 volunteers needed)
Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Tasks:
- Set up play room
- Set up admin space
- Lunch provided
Friday, August 8 (10 volunteers needed)
Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Tasks:
- Final unpacking
- Help with settling in
- Lunch provided
Monday & Tuesday, August 11–12 (Priority - 10 to 15 volunteers needed)
Time: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Tasks:
- Unpack storage pod at Sentinel Storage
- Move heavy items using ramp, dolly, and straps
