About This Opportunity

Responsibilities: 

  1. Advocate for the needs of male cancer patients and survivors within the community. 
  2. Raise awareness about HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre and its services among male cancer patients, survivors, and their families. 
  3. Provide peer support and mentorship to male cancer patients and survivors. 
  4. Assist in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of male cancer patients. 
  5. Participate in community events, workshops, and outreach activities to promote cancer awareness and education. 
  6. Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to ensure the effective delivery of services. 


 Skills: 

  • Empathy: Ability to empathize with the experiences and emotions of male cancer patients and survivors. 
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds. 
  • Active Listening: Capacity to actively listen to and understand the needs and concerns of others. 
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport, establish trust, and maintain confidentiality in interactions with clients. 
  • Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to achieve common goals. 


 Qualification 

  • Commitment to the mission and values of HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre. 
  • Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of individuals affected by cancer.
  • Respect for diversity and inclusivity in all interactions. 
  • Previous experience in advocacy or related fields preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong organizational and teamwork abilities.
