Deliver hot, nutritious meals to seniors and those living at home with health challenges
The responsibilities of this role include picking up prepared route sheets and meal bags from supplier or drivers, delivering these meals to clients' homes based on a daily list provided by the Meals on Wheels department, and returning empty bags and sheets. Initiate not seen not found procedures in the event a client does not answer the door. Additionally, the role involves reporting any issues or concerns to the Meals on Wheels office, maintaining client confidentiality, being nonjudgmental about clients lifestyles or habits and attending ongoing training.
Qualifications include having a friendly and courteous demeanor, the ability to follow directions, being prompt and reliable and capable of carrying a meal bag of approximately 25lbs.
Valid drivers license and automobile insurance with a minimum liability of $1 000 000.
Approximately 1 hour time commitment per scheduled delivery day.
