Overview
The Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society (GEARS) was formed in 2013 to help injured, abandoned, unwanted, and homeless animals. GEARS is a non-profit organization that relies on a network of donors, volunteers and foster homes working together to give companion animals a second chance at their forever family. The Monetary Donation Team Lead directly oversees the monetary donation area and team and creates organizational excellence through building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential donors through personalized communication and engagement strategies, and developing and implementing strategies to achieve fundraising goals, targeting specific monetary objectives within set timelines.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to achieve fundraising goals, targeting specific monetary objectives within set timelines.
- Team Management: Lead, motivate, and train your team to enhance performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Donor Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential donors through personalized communication and engagement strategies.
- Campaign Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, ensuring effective outreach and promotion to maximize donations.
- Data Management: Track and analyze donation data to assess campaign effectiveness and make informed decisions for future strategies.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on fundraising progress, challenges, and outcomes to the board.
- Compliance: Ensure that all fundraising activities comply with legal and ethical standards and organizational policies.
- Innovation: Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in fundraising to continuously improve strategies and methods.

- Fundraising Expertise: Knowledge of fundraising techniques, best practices, and donor behaviour.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges and find innovative solutions in fundraising efforts.
Reports into: Treasurer
Expected investment of this role: Will require a daily commitment, with a monthly commitment of at least 20 hours
