Role Overview:

The Operations Coordinator will support various internal activities within the Ben Stelter School Fundraiser (BSSF), focusing on team organization, scheduling, and communications. This role involves working directly with the Director of People & Engagement and plays a key part in ensuring smooth operations across all departments. Applicants must be in Grade 7 or above during the 2026–2027 school year. The role will begin in April for early onboarding and setup, with peak activity expected from September to December during the core fundraising season.


Role timeline:

Duration: April 2026–January 2027

● April–September: Peak involvement helping build team & participant resources, organizational systems, and folders.

● September–December: Lighter involvement, helping organize team meetings and keeping the team updated.

● January: Wrap-up work, including documentation and awards support


Key Responsibilities:

● Coordinate internal meeting scheduling across teams

● Track internal deadlines and assist in project progress updates

● Support communications between the People Department and team leads

● Organize shared resources and materials in Slack and Google Drive

● Assist in preparing internal events and logistics (e.g., team calls, virtual meetings)

● Identify areas of inefficiency and propose systems improvements

● Helping build all of the team support systems


Requirements:

● Strong organizational and time-management skills

● Experience using or willingness to learn Google Calendar, Docs, and Sheets

● Comfortable working across multiple departments and keeping records up to date

● Team player with a proactive attitude and attention to detail
