About This Opportunity
Autario is seeking a passionate and organized volunteer to serve as our Operations & Fundraising Lead — a pivotal role for someone who believes in neurodivergent empowerment and grassroots innovation. You’ll work closely with the founder and core team to coordinate day-to-day operations, manage timelines, and ensure our projects stay on track. You’ll also take the lead on fundraising strategy: identifying grant opportunities, building donor relationships, and helping us tell our story to supporters.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience (or strong interest) in nonprofit management, community organizing, or social enterprise. You’ll gain hands-on leadership experience in a values-driven environment — and if Autario succeeds in securing funding, this role may evolve into a paid position.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A strong communicator and self-starter
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Passionate about inclusion, equity, and neurodivergent leadership
- Preferably with some experience in fundraising, grant-writing, and/or leading non-profit/charity organizations
If you’re ready to help build something bold from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you. You'll get a chance to meet our visionary leader, Steven, who has many ideas for how to help the community, but needs your help to put those ideas into action.
Our organization is primarily based in Barrie, Ontario, and our current focus is on helping people in Simcoe County. However, we are open to working with volunteers from throughout Canada, and we hope to expand our geographic reach in the future.
Volunteer Requirements
Whether you meet these requirements or not, we encourage you to share your interest in us. You may still be a fit for a different opportunity with our organization.
- Over “age of majority” in province of opportunity
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
