About This Opportunity
This role entails attending and representing the CRR at special events in the community. The duties include…
- Set up a table, books, portable book display, signage and program flyers.
- Set up tote bag display. People who donate $25 or more can choose a tote bag and fill it with five books. We usually sell about 4-5 of these bags at every event we attend. They can pay with cash, e-transfer to info@childrensreadingroom.org (auto deposit enabled) or PayPal (through website or scan of QR code)
- Chat with people and tell them about the CRR. Offer them a flyer.
- Help families and kids pick out books (sometimes kids ask for something specific, e.g., dinosaurs).
- Bring back the remaining books and other items to the CRR.
