Description:
The Region of Peel, Volunteer Resources is actively recruiting volunteers for our Peel Paramedics Community Responder Program. This is an opportunity to work closely with emergency responders, attending to cardiac arrest calls in your area. By taking part in this program, you are actively aiding in reducing the number of deaths related to cardiac arrest. Your responsibilities will include:
- attending to cardiac arrest calls in your neighbourhood
- providing CPR and/or using an AED (if applicable) on individuals who may be experiencing cardiac arrest
- providing relevant information to emergency responders upon their arrival
- vulnerable sector check (authorization form will be provided for you if needed)
- 2 references (contact information)
- CPR certification
- must be 18+ years of age
- experience in healthcare is an asset but not mandatory

Please note that this position, as with any volunteer position, is unpaid. Further information will be discussed in a mandatory interview between the applicant and a volunteer coordinator.
