Children’s Program Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of programs and activities for children ages 6–12. This role helps create fun, engaging, and educational experiences that encourage creativity and participation.
The Children’s Program Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of programs and activities for children ages 6–12. This role helps create fun, engaging, and educational experiences that encourage creativity, participation, confidence-building, and community connection. The coordinator also supports communication with families and assists with program registration and organization.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate children’s programs, workshops, and activities
Support outreach efforts to engage children and families in
the community
Assist with registration and onboarding for programs, camps,
workshops, and events
Communicate with parents, participants, volunteers, and
instructors as needed
Help promote children’s initiatives through social media,
email, and community partnerships
Track participation and provide basic administrative and
organizational support
Assist in creating safe, welcoming, and engaging experiences
for children
Collaborate with the Afiwi team to strengthen children’s programming and community engagement
Ideal Candidate
Passionate about working with children and supporting youth
development
Organized, dependable, and patient
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with children, camps, schools, arts
programs, or community organizations is an asset
Comfortable using email, online forms, and basic digital
tools
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Creative, energetic, and community-minded
