About This Opportunity
Assists the event coordinator at ABNC in preparing for, setting up, hosting and taking down special events. Welcoming visitors as they arrive to event, directing them to where they need to go, and to acting as a representative for the Nature Centre, providing outstanding customer service.
Roles can include the following duties, but will change depending on the event:
- Assist in distributing posters or signs to promote events
- Assist in the setup and/or take down for events (chairs, tables, tents etc...)
- Greet and orient visitors as they arrive for events and activities (ticket check-in, directing to interpretive centre etc...)
- Assist guests in parking in our limited parking spaces (parking map/layout provided, high-visibility vest, and walkie talkie also)
- Assist guests with directions and/or questions about the centre and directing questions to the event coordinator as needed
- Bring a friend - 1 free event ticket for any volunteer working that event PLUS free entry for that volunteer!

- Mandatory RCMP Security Check for V
- Minimum 16 years old
- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
- Comfortable commuting to opportunity location
