SUMMARY:
The Public Relations Volunteer will help ALDO maintain a positive public image,
build media relationships, and increase awareness of programs and events. This
volunteer works closely with the communications team to craft press releases
and outreach strategies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft press releases, media pitches, and public statements
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and partners
- Support publicity for events, campaigns, and initiatives
- Monitor media coverage and provide reports to the team
- Collaborate with the marketing and fundraising teams to ensure consistent messaging
- Attend regular team meetings and provide updates on campaign progress
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in public relations, communications, or media relations
- Strong writing, editing, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Interest in nonprofit work and child education programs
