About This Opportunity

The Registration desk volunteer is in charge of manning the administration desk as bands check-in and helping them to organize their paperwork. This is mostly a sitting role, and could be suitable for someone with reduced mobility. The Registration Desk volunteer does not get to hear the groups perform. This position is sometimes busy and sometimes not, so it could be a good role for someone who wants to bring a book or some other work to do in between  busy periods. This role is suitable for any age. No musical experience is required. The job is easy, and you will get a short training on what to do. There will be a coordinator on site if you have any questions. The festival is held at the University of Calgary Main Campus, in the Music building. Parking is reimbursed, and lunch is provided. You are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts, including consecutive shifts. If you have a small time conflict (ex: need to leave 15 minutes early), just make a note when you sign up and we will make it work! To see available shifts, please go to: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0948A8A82FA2FFC52-54319157-aibf#/

Any questions can be emailed to August Bassett, our volunteer coordinator at volunteer@aibfestival.ca.
