Join us and ref in the most action-packed and spirited recreational Road Hockey event of the year. Hundreds of teams made up of rookies, veterans, A-list celebrities and NHL heroes all united by one common goal: Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime.
The Princess Margaret Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer is a fundraiser that brings thousands of people together each year. All proceeds directly benefit The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world.
As a referee, your role includes following officiating guidelines, sharing game rules with players, calling penalties and goals (excluding timeouts), maintaining the score, and communicating outcomes to Game Managers. You must keep the game moving, ensure teams arrive on time, and act as an on-the-ground event ambassador by cheering and supporting the event participants.
Must haves:
- A minimum of 18 years old or 16 years old with chaperone
- A strong understanding of ball hockey diplomatic demeanour ability to officiate a minimum of 10 rounds of 3 on 3 plus goalies games (each game lasting approximately 30 minutes)
- Ability to work in all types of weather
