Running & Reading Club Coach
Summary
The Start2Finish (S2F) Running & Reading Club addresses the need for enhanced literacy and physical activity among children experiencing poverty/deprivation in the communities it services. S2F currently has Running & Reading Club programs successfully operating in-person from coast to coast in 75+ communities across Canada.
S2F Running & Reading Club Volunteers have a significant role to encourage students on a weekly basis for positive change physically, mentally and emotionally through fitness and literacy. Volunteers help to build confidence and motivate club participants to work hard and achieve success, characteristics that will empower them for life.

About This Opportunity
Volunteer Coaches work together to facilitate weekly programming provided by S2F. This includes:
- Physical Activity through exercising and active games
- Snack Time
- Word of the Day discussion
- Journal Time to encourage social-emotional learning
- Reading to an individual, to a group, or helping a student read themselves
- Creating Positive Spaces
Club run once a week for 2 hours, after school. Programming runs Oct-Dec, and Jan-May.
