About This Opportunity
YAIJ Clubs are safe spaces for neurodiverse students. YAIJ School Clubs support creative collaboration and constructive conversations about disability justice, intersectional identities, and human rights. Students collaborate on a variety of projects of their choice including bake sales, poster presentations, information sessions, awareness campaigns, and more.
Schools are supported to set up YAIJ School Clubs through regular meetings with teachers and sometimes principal advocates, to guide them step by step through the set up process.
You will be responsible for:
a) Meeting once per month (or as requested) with teachers and students interested in setting up a YAIJ Club.
b) Sharing information about YAIJ School Clubs and helping the school team through each phase of set up.
c) Providing important resources and YAIJ School n Club guidance for the school team.
This volunteer role requires about 10-12 hours per MONTH, days/times are flexible.
This volunteer role is virtual.
