About This Opportunity
Special Olympics provides year round sport opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Volunteers are the backbone of the Special Olympics movement! Special Olympics would not exist today— and could not have been created—without the time, energy, commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteers and coaches. It's about making your community and neighborhood a more welcoming and accepting place for people of all abilities.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic coaches, and general volunteers to help run a local rhythmic gymnastics program in Toronto for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The program runs weekly from October - April. Occasional weekend commitment for competitions. Gymnastics knowledge an asset, but not necessary.
All volunteers 18 and over, must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check/Screening.
